How is the Emma mattress shipped?
In the final step of production the Emma mattress is rolled and vacuum packed. It is then packed into a stylish box with dimensions of 45x45x110cm. We ship throughout Ireland directly to your front door using our courier: DPD, UPS or GLS.

No, the Emma is a low-maintenance mattress. It is able to lay on any surface. It doesn't matter whether it is lying on the ground, on a box spring or on a slat frame, Emma is a mattress that fits every lifestyle. The most important thing is that the surface is clean and dry. You should have no problem using the Emma mattress with a slatted frame.

How does the 200-night trial phase work?
It's simple. You can test the Emma mattress for 200 days to decide whether or not you are satisfied with our product. If you realise that Emma is not right for you, simply contact our customer service team (support@emma-mattress.ie) to arrange a pick-up date and issue you a full refund. However, we do ask that you give yourself time to get used to your new mattress so we recommend testing Emma for at least 3 - 4 weeks before sending her back.

Does the mattress need to stay in its plastic during the trial?
No, it doesn’t. We want you to have the best sleep possible and that should not include sleeping on noisy plastic. The Emma mattress is vacuum sealed in plastic and roll packed for delivery to your home. Upon receiving your new Emma mattress, carefully remove the plastic wrap using our handy cutting tool included in your Welcome-package. A guideline for how to properly unwrap your Emma is provided in your package as well. Within a couple of hours, your mattress will self-inflate and will be ready for you to sleep on.

Does the foam smell?
Like all new products, the Emma mattress has a slight "new" smell at the start. Since we exclusively use high-grade materials, this slight smell will wear off after the first few hours. Make sure the mattress is aired out in a well ventilated room.

How firm is the mattress?
The Emma Original Mattress is categorized as medium firmness mattresses. As the Emma Original is a slightly firmer model, this offers more natural spinal alignment for the user as it has better zoning, making it ideal for people who struggle with back pain. How can I wash my Emma products?
You can easily wash your Emma cover. Therefore, you just open the zip and separate the top from the bottom part. Treat your Emma like your favorite Shirt, by washing both, the top and bottom part, at 140°F in the washing machine. Because of the special fiber used in the cover with the high dampness releasing function it will only be a little clammy coming out of the machine. You can also wash single stains off by hand with a gentle washing detergent.

Do I need to flip and ventilate it?
Flipping your Emma mattress is not necessary and the white top-cover and Airgocell® layer should always remain on top. The three-layer build-up form serves as an especially long lived function of support, so the usual flipping of the mattress isn’t necessary. The special breathability and open-cell character of the core materials provide a self-contained ventilation system, keeping the mattress aerated.

Does it need a topper or bed cover?
Because the Emma mattress already comes with a very soft and durable cover you do not need to purchase any additional mattress protection. A mattress topper, a mattress pad or a mattress protector is not necessary. Emma's cover can be washed easily in your washing machine. If you still wish to add your own cover, any standard bed/mattress cover will fit .

How do I know if the Emma pillow is right for me?
As for the 3-layer structure the pillow goes with any sleeping position (side, back and tummy sleeper). The height is adjustable and therefore ideal for any sleeping position. You get the maximum adjustment and can choose your preferred top side. For Side Sleepers: As the gap between the head and the shoulder needs to be supported, we recommend you use all three layers to give you the perfect balance of comfort and support. For Back Sleepers: If you are a back sleeper, we recommend using two of the three layers. In choosing the upper layer, of course, you are free to decide which upper layer you prefer. For Tummy Sleepers: For those that sleep on their stomach, we recommend you take all but one layer for the ideal height. You are free to choose which layer you prefer.

No, the Emma Mattress Protector is not completely stain-resistant, which means red wine etc do not simply roll off the fabric and can discolour the Emma Mattress Protector. But the fluids will not get through to the mattress core as it is watertight. Stains can be washed off in the washing machine at 40°.

How does shipping work?
Your Emma mattress is rolled, vacuum-packed and then shipped directly from our factory in Ireland to your doorstep. All Emma mattresses are brand-new and waiting to be delivered to you. We ship with UPS, GLS, DPD and Meteorspace. After placing your order, you will receive a delivery confirmation via e-mail. Then, upon despatch of your item/s, you will receive tracking information from our courier service and with that information, you can follow the progress of your delivery. If you are not able to be home for your Emma mattress delivery, you can simply give us the name of your favorite neighbor to sign for the package (Make sure they don’t sleep on your Emma mattress first, you just may never get it back).

The mattress doesn’t look like the right size, what do I do?

This means that the mattress can initially look like a smaller size whilst it is vacuum packed. Please remove the vacuum packing and watch the mattress inflate to the correct size before your eyes!

When do I get the €25 and when will my friend receive their €25?
Your friend will get their €25 discount when they purchase an Emma mattress using the voucher code you have shared with them. You will receive your €25 at the end of your friend's 200 night trial. All you have to do is update your bank details in your Emma account, and you will then get your 25€ reward straight to your bank account.
